Sounds long to me but not so for many around me!

5th June 2009 marked my last day in Kinderland.

Its stupid to think about myself emo-ing on a Monday afternoon in the comfort of my room.

I get emotional and defensive when it comes to friends and especially so when i find myself unappreciated. Boyfriend and I are really close but I do make conscious effort to catch up with people that I truly bother. But still, some people can't give a damn about the effort I made and in return put the blame on me! Yah, how saddening but true. Some drifted away... and still once in a while remind me that they wanna attend my wedding -_-, some drifted away without realising it and some knowingly drifted away and yet find it so damn hard to exchange simple phones and smses. I know we are all caught up in a race, a race that is going to last a lifetime so when is the 'soon' and the 'one day' going to happen?

I hate people who uses busy schedule and proximity as an excuse, like if you stay in Tampines, I won't give a damn about you. Its true!

Verdict: Some allergies that might develop into cornea ulcers therefore 9 days mc.

But still, i went shopping @ Tampines Mall and the newly opened Tampines 1 on Friday.
It was crowded like mad. And there was a super long queue to Uniqlo the popular Japanese Brand store. Darling's loots: 4 T shorts, 1 Berms, 2 Boxers and some undergarments (cotton tees).

ITS A SPECIAL DAY

Darling Boo and I both took half day leave today to do some things together.
:)

We went to the hair salon. He got his hair cut. I got mine washed and blow.

We went shopping in town.
He got his CK belt, I got my Armani.
Or rather we paid the items for each other.

He couldn't get his onitsuka tiger but
I got my birkenstock still - in the latest spring colour of patent purple. :D

And we watched The Confession of a Shopaholic.

The 4 days 3 nights trip to Kota Kinabalu was fantastic.

This is my 2nd trip and Darling's 1st.

KK is one of the most fantastic cities I have ever been to. It is nothing like the typical West Malaysia cities. Our first night was spent up at the mountainous area, right at the foot of Mt Kinabalu. It was a 2hr drive away from the airport. The next 2 nights was at my Aunt's place. Just around the corner of her apartment is the Tanjong Aru long sandy beach and beautiful golf course but we choose to suntan at another island called the Manukan Island. The island is beautiful and perfect for diving, snorkeling and swimming but a little too crowded as it was the school holidays.

We tried the local bbq chicken wings, coconut pudding, seafood, strawberry ice cream and fish noodles.
We moved around in a Toyota Hilux 3.0 Diesel 4 wD.
We got up at 7am every morning.
We shopped at 1 Borneo Shopping Mall.
We sun bathed and got burnt.
We swam.
We went trekking and I broke a nail.
We took picture after pictures.
We had fun with the kids.
We..... miss the place now.

The next time round we are there, we will probably travel to Sipadan Island which is even more WOW and my cousins are talking about climbing the Mt Kinabalu. We'll see...

Caught up with Lixin and Bird for dinner and coffee on Tuesday Night.
It was nice like always. Too often, we'll end up like 3-8 ladies.

This time to somewhere near but away from city life still.
No shopping but lotsa water sports, the sun, the sand and the sea.

Ang and I are also kinda looking forward to the proposed Hokkaido Trip partially sponsor by the company, should the response is good. Nevertheless, we still have to consider since we still need to fork out a thousand over dollars to go to JAPAN to WORK!

Did i mention that i influence and got Ang into the Twilight saga just like myself?
She is on the 3rd book now. Wahahahahha!

My V Day was great.

Morning ICR as usual followed by Hair cut, Colour and Hair Treatment @ the salon.
I have been contemplating between cutting it short or cutting bangs.
But i gave up both ideas. I probably wouldnt stand having my fringe covering my eyes and having to trim it myself every fornightly - which i used to do it till my eyes crossed.
Remember 2007, or is it 2008? xxx
And darling would be very upset if i cut my hair short. So.......... anyway!
It has been a long long time since i last did something to my hair therefore i really
enjoyed my lazy afternoon at the salon with Katherine. 4.5 hrs gone.
Honey baby darling came and went within 20mins. He had his hair cut and then went home to watch tv.
haha!

And then we napped.

we decided to give the Couple Indulgence Spa a try.

its 11pm. Nothing to eat nothing to do, we headed to JURONG POINT for the 24hrs outdoor makan place. The one that we have been hearing on radio. Not a big deal.

And of course the 24hrs Fairprice Xtra, we have a long list of things to purchase. We thought it wouldnt be as big as the one at amk since its located at the 3rd floor but we were wrong, so damn wrong.

Shopping in Taiwan is NOT cheap.
want cheap stuff, head for BKK or better still, stay right here in our very own Lion City.

Nothing much to buy cos winter but i did come back with a couple of bags and shoes.
Taipei is boring. Other than Ximending, Shihlin Night market, Taipei 101 and many other memorial halls and museums, there's practically nothing else. Or maybe i should do more research on it.

It has been an exciting fun filled week so far.
Thou it sounds awful to be back at work during the school holidays
but profit-sharing holiday programmes that include lotsa outing is definitely
worth the time and effort!

S&S monsters are still here. Telling excuse after excuses to their parents on why they do not want to go home YET.
That explains why i'm busy and tired. In other words, very occupied.
And that also means no privacy for darling and myself! We bring them everywhere other than night classes.

Anyway, my darling boo! is back for re-service. nice lovely sweet hours 9am - 2pm. Sometimes earlier. How wonderfully scheduled. Lotsa of shopping and sight seeing round Singapore island.

I have been wanting to blog about this but i keep forgetting.
Or should i say im lazy.

Well,
We, as in James, Jasmine, X L Boo and Myself are very happy
that W K Chen and Jo lene or officially together!!!!
Now we can go on movie dates and kopi dates in 6s and not 3 by 3.
:D

Bowling with the guys 2 weeks back and I won!! the 1st round.
the rest of the game was conquered by darling boo while the rest of us sulk.

And then we watched some lame shit romance movie and almost fell aslp in the cinema the following night, had some kopi session some evenings and yadayadayada.

Then was the Deepavali weekend. Becos of some unforeseen circumstances,
the KL trip was postpone from Friday night to Saturday afternoon to Sunday morning.
And yes, I was pissed. So do Darling Boo. Obviously, it wasnt us who keep pushing back the set off time. Im sorry I din get to see cyndy too. Anyway, u din call me on Saturday!

Whatever it is,
we made it to KL in 2 1/2 hours. Had Dim sum breakfast before heading to 1 Utama for shopping!

First of all,

Happy Teachers' Day to all Teachers out there plus myself.
Time to gather together to open a gift shop or something. maybe a floral shop will work too. :)

We watched a couple of movies (dvds) over the weekend and was busy like mad on sunday becos it was boo's sister Guo Da Li / betrothal day. It was madness i tell you.

But nevertheless, the seafood dinner last night was fantastic.

Thank you BFF for the vouchers to Fish Reflexology @ Sentosa Underwater World.

Besides going to the Spa, Darling boo and I bought tickets to watch what they called the not-to-be-missed, mind-blowing interactive Sentosa 4D Magix and CineBlast show.
It was ok and super expensive.

ps. it is always nice to take half a day off from work to do something together :)

well, i stopped typing here exactly 7 days ago thinking that i might have more ideas to note down in the next few days to come. but obviously, i didn't.

Except that my cousin Terence got married last Saturday;

the thought of school reopening makes me go HAIZ......!

Last 2 weeks was spent writing lesson plans at home
and running round the island helping Ang with her wedding preparation.
First stop was getting her shoes in town.
that lady cant walk in 4 inches high heels, so u imagine how tough it is getting her to try ample pairs of shoes.
next, hair salon. i got my hair rebonded and she got herself highlights.
then to chinatown to get fabrics for decorations (for her house)
and on the way, check out travel agencies for her honeymoon and
my pending Taiwan trip.

Father's Day lunch was spent eating Indian cuisine in Little India with the Boos.
the bill came up to $200+ but, as quoted from the senior Boo,
"the togetherness counts more than the bill" haha. :D
followed by dinner with my own dad plus an expensive set of Hongkong Drama VCD
as gift. and i cant believe i actually sat down with him for countless evenings to watch it!

Monday was Mahjong wit Irene and Gang, i lost $40.
Yesterday was a day out with Darling Boo to HDB to look at our floor plan
then to get myself a new phone, yup, i trade in my LG for a samsung U900.
Yishun (golden horse) yadayadayada and then to Yoga with Cyndy.
We wanted to blade but it rained. so.......

btw, how does the sun moon lake in taiwan looks like?
we had a great joke over it last night but still no idea.

A huge NONO. Freaking far from Jurong la.

No, I don't fancy sea sports thought I don't mind trying cable ski.

I know i know, the lack of entries is making me uncomfortable too.

Assignment 1 is over and there is still another on its way.

Oh, i attended Wenxin's grandmother's wake last week and it
was nice catching up with her and the rest of the group.

this 2 weeks have been hectic but not too bad.
i just have something on almost every evening after work-
sch classes, driving lessons and meetings.
so im practically only home to bed n i felt sooo bad tat im not able to
come home for dinner and spending time with my dear Pollo.

not being able to spend more time at home is a relatively small issue
that i can eventually make up to but not being able to go to work due
to personal matters make me feel damn bloody bad. not because i'm a
super workaholic but i feel bad leaving my partner alone to manage the class.
I was ill last week, MC, 2 days gone.
Tmr a meeting at 2pm, half day gone.
Next Tues, to HDB, 1 day gone.
Next Thursday, TP, half day gone.

OMG. it'll be better after next week. it will.

Cyndy and I went for and did some shopping, catching up, gossiping and makan-ing,
2 weekends ago while my dear Mr Boo went off-shore fishing with his dad.

And just over the weekend, WK drove us up to Klang (KL) for a night
before making a last minute decision to head up to Genting the next morning.
Nope, we din go for the rides. i swear i'll freeze to death in my shorts and tank top.
we spent the afternoon watching movie and the night drinking hot chocolate
and of cos we din forget the casino and arcade :)

On the way back to Singapore, we drop by Cheras to my grandparents's place.
Look at this latest member of the family. He is adorable. really.

I'm not quite sure what to blog about but since i'm kinda free now, might as well
record some happenings down. :)

Went round a couple of private institutions to enquire about
Darling Boo's degree courses and knowing the ever ambitious me,
i checked out some relevant master courses too.
After which we went shopping for our new pair/s of Birkenstock.

Alliance Francise Theatre on Friday afternoon
and then Muddys for drinks and snacks with Doug and company.
The leap years on Saturday late night,
followed by JB for wanton noodles and cheap petrol.

This wasnt bad as well.

Sunday, we brought the furkids
to the Pasir Ris Dog run, they were amazingly well behaved,
too bad the ground was wet and it was drizzling a little.

Monday, Sentosa Underwater world/ dolphin lagoon with the kids.
Tuesday, i got my pedicure done.

Not to mention i got my hair cut - short, over the weekend too.

Alvin treated us to a meal at Carnivore, CHIMJES, which serves Brazilian Churrascaria.
It means barbecue restaurant in Portuguese. Their knife-welding passadors move around the table tables, carving the succulent meats from large skewers onto our plates,

so much and so fast that most of the time i do not have time to reject. but if u like something and would love a second helping, you will have to sit and wait till they pass by again. Which Karen did, for her chicken hearts.

And of cos there is also a wide selection of cold salads and appetizers to go with those meats.
The bill came up to about $300 bucks.

Well, it certainly will be honey's turn to foot the bill when Alvin's birthday is here. haha

Since my parents were out of town, I spent New Year Eve
having dinner at Pu Tien Restaurant with the Boos
before heading to Party World, Orchard with Wai Khang and gang for KTV
from 2007 to 2008.
Not that i know and love to sing but its always nice to hear the guys 'battle it out'
and the girls laughing their lungs out.
And for me, nothing beats sitting in a room than standing in a crowd doing the
countdown thingy.

We also spent New Year's Day at Sentosa - Company family day.
While the rest of my colleagues brought their kids, husband and parents,
we brought our furkids!
and everyone went gigi gaga over them and as usual, Junior display his
fustration by barking and Pollo simply curl up into a ball on my lap.
but both enjoyed the walk-a-jog, the sun and the sand.

After rolling on/in the sand, he actually fell aslp for a while on dear's lap before
moving into the shade which is under the chair. Smart.

I shall not attempt to list out my resolution for 2008 because thou i couldn't find the list for 2007, i know there are plenty that are not fulfilled. but one thing for sure that is going to stay in the list is to shed some weight.
Maybe i'll try to save more money so that i can;
Fly to somewhere to experience snow again so that my winter coat won't grow algae or fungus in my wardrobe;
Job-hop but the bonus is too tempting;
Get my class3 license which TP is scheduled in April;
and yadayada yada.

Anyway,

We have nothing to do on boxing day so darling went
"come, lets go and get a Wii so you can play tennis or bowling at home"
so i thought why not? no harm taking a look.

This entry is all abt my Darling XL Boo who turned 22 on Christmas.

On the afternoon of Christmas eve, we spent about 2 hours at grandma's place.
2 hours becos we brought Pollo the baby boy along. and grandma hates dogs.
not that she mentioned but i noticed.

so off we left early for sushi making session at home.
the whole family enjoyed of cos. and i enjoyed laughing at them.

Den to Quarubar to get wasted.
we had champagne after champagne
but Dear had hard-core liquor after liquor.
The managers promised us that he won't be standing straight by 1.00am!
And they did it.
Not by 1am thou, at about 2 plus.
and the best part? its on the house.
So, its really not that bad we are frenz with the managers.
haha

The cake cutting was over and done with in less than a minute. chop chop cos its melting.
so lovely and adorable that we can't bear to cut it but we ate and lick it clean afterall. :)

And on Christmas Day, we had lunch at Bryan's place
served and pampered with turkey, ham, salad, ribs, curry,
bee hoon, soup and many more. and know what?
its all home-cooked. super parents he has.
and then it was smoking,chit chatting and x-box time till

its time we leave for the Christmas dinner at aunt's place.
served with basically the same food, only not as nice :x
and i tell u ppl, darling boo doesnt need christmas presents nor CNY man.
just being a christmas baby, thanks to god, he received enought ang pao money to put me on a plane and fly me somewhere further than malaysia!
oh well, i insist i wanna be the banker u see. so......

ok, we are only halfway thru christmas celebration!

I dread my weekend to come.

Friday is the orientation whereby parents, esp new faces
come flowing (full-force) into the newly decorated classrooms,
shooting us teachers with questions, ridiculous and hilarious ones
and we still have to keep putting up that smile as if we were
selling the school. Damn shitty.

Saturday & Sunday - Training cum Seminar 9.30am to 4pm -_-

And.. I have yet to get christmas gifts for those christmas exchange gifts ceremony/parties.

I'm suffering from hang-over. not from alcohol but from the trip to Hong Kong.
When i landed at the changi airport, i cant wait for go home to hug Pollo,
now that i slpt and woke up, i wonder why i'm home. -_-

okok, i need to go to school and there are many things awaiting for me back home already.

nevertheless, the trip was great. i mean which holiday wouldnt.
hotel was small but
1. its near the MTR
2. near to shopping markets
3. yummy and cheap dim sum
4. early check-in
5. late check-out
6. most imptly, clean
7. allow us to request for high-floor rooms overlooking the stadium.

Food was not as fantastic as everyone thought it would be.
or maybe i'm just fussy. i couldnt get used to sitting in their
traditional road side mini restaurant for their expensive
and huge plate of rice with beef and eggs.
Darling was so afraid that i wouldnt eat anything, that
he took me for Macdonalds - just once i swear.
love him to bits.

OMG, the roasted pigeon is a big NONO for us.
i felt so pitiful for that little fellow that i saw pecking
on food under my block every morning. oh well, maybe not the same species,
but still, it doesnt taste good to my taste buds anyway.

Shopping was fair and fitting. Lotsa of shopping malls with designer brands
in the central area. They are like 4 times bigger than our Paragon.
but their markets easily lose big time to Chatuchak in Bangkok.
and please, nothing is cheap.
anyhow, i still got myself 4 pairs of shoes,
3 bags, many other barang-barangs and 4 soft toys -
1 panda from ocean park
1 marie from disneyland
2 gifts that we won from those games stall at ocean park
now you can imagine how i come back.

its winter, no apparels as i do not wan to die of heat stroke here in
sunny warmly Singapore. :)
and i do not want singaporeans to say
' siao ah this girl, she not hot ah! '

i have basically covered everything right honey?
oh, transport!
We flew on Jetstar and it was good enough and seriously not bad that is if
you compare it to other budget airlines.
MTR is the cheapest and the easiest mode of getting us round
the island.
No taxis other then airport transfer but since
everywhere is so accessible, we did not see the need to hire
a cab.

Happy Deepavali.

It feels damn good to be able to sleep in late after 3 days of work,
get charged and head back for a good friday b4 the weekend arrives yet-again. :)

darling slept half the afternoon away becos of Marcus's
drink-drank-drunk birthday gathering and then we checked out
Central at Eu Tong Sen St for the very first time ever since its opening in August.
to my disappointment, there wasnt anything interesting there.

and Super Import Nights wasn't much of a 'super' too.

I was still complaining and whining about assignments and examinations
less than a month ago. the next thing i know, i received an email from school
- a reminder that the new term is starting on Monday, 12/11/2007.

it is so sweet and so heart -warming.

it has been a very busy and emotional week at work.
but fuck-it. life is not just about work.

anyhow,
i managed and Eis managed to squeeze out time to go shopping together.

over the week Mr Boo and I each bought a pair crocs.

this ones... :D

it is so light and so comfy that i'm wearing it almost everyday, everywhere.
but no good for driving. -_-

Pollo the new little member of the family is almost driving me %&^*!@#$
he's so tiny and down with skin infection. it has been a week since he last saw the vet and i can't wait for him to get well.
the sight of those falling flakes made me really upset.
no doubt he's adorable and very playful.

Saturday was spent nua-ing in front of the TV till mid noon before heading to holland v
for dim sum followed by spending a bomb on Pollo's accessories at Pets' Lovers.
Plus i think i studied hard on Sunday for the already past exam.

First of all, this msg is for the lovely girls out there esp ah bird who got

My friday night was spent in a 5*****Boutique hotel: scarlet.
in my own Passion suite with darling boo
I love the big bed, the beautiful princess-like bathroom and the interior design left us speechless-for a moment.
The stay was good but the jacuzzi wasn't a wow.
Nevertheless, thank you those who sponsor the funds to it.
i have yet to know who thou.

The following night was spent partying/chatting/drinking away
in Douglas's Splendour suite for his belated b'day celebration.
It was a definite smashing night for him. he knocked out b4 12midnight.
leaving the rest of us to entertain ourselves. haha

oh ya, did i not mention that i had a dinner date with Emily kang
on Thursday evening after work?
I swear i will never step into Boon lay interchange ever again.
It was like a maze and the human jam was worse than Orchard road during Christmas!
Ok, i 'm just exaggerating it but serious, its almost there.

its children's day today, that gives me an extra day in addition to my lovely weekend. :))
i have time to rot at home, watch tv, go for driving lesson
and sit right here surfing the net.

oh well,
i think everyone deserve to go on off/leave today
for theres a child in everyone of us.

anyway, i like my new blogskin. was quite an idiot in getting things changed, done and set
but i managed still its rather difficult to cater to both internet explorer n firefox user.
if u use internet explorer the blocks will b in line, if u use firefox,
the candies box will be smalle.

ben's & jerry's cum drinks/soccer/laughters/gossips
at dempsey with the bunch.........

right after a wedding banquet.

Sunday was spent lazing in bed with the man n his dog b4
heading out to look for a partner/frenz for junior.
the search was rather tedious.

Just a random entry of my week.

Monday was a super hectic day where we celebrated
Mid-Autumn Festival by having a fun/food fair.
The kids have fun 'shopping' while we enjoyed not having to
teach for that day. :x

Tuesday was dinner with Mummy followed by shopping
for our new TV set. :)

Friday was a relatively good day.
It was Children's Day N
Needless to say, it was great.

Everyone finishes work at 3pm and darling took me shopping!!

did i mention that the assignments are all done?!
heeheehee.

am looking forward to my weekend :D
